 | Feedback Food Redistribution collects good quality excess food and food donations from various establishments and delivers them to projects which are helping the truly destitute in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Food is provided as an interim measure only and beneficiary organisations are assisted to achieve food security through a process which includes nutrition workshops and independent food sources such as vegetable gardens. Feedback initially collected excess food from film industry caterers but the pool of food donors has grown rapidly - in the last year Feedback has redistributed enough food to provide well over 14 million meals.

| To promote and improve the nutritional well-being of vulnerable communities by means of educational programmes covering a wide range of activities and media usage. To engage with communities, organisations and authorities in partnership ventures / projects to combat circumstances that contribute to malnutrition, such as debilitating and potentially life-threatening conditions including HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria; environmental situations such as inadequate water and sewage facilities and social factors such as unemployment, single parent and child-headed families. To promote and participate in sustainable self-help projects that contribute towards the quality of life and independence of individuals and communities.

| The South African National Council for the Blind is the mother body for organisations for and of blind people in South Africa. The Council has close to 100 member organisations and strives to be a network of organisations that collaborate towards securing the full participation and inclusion of blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of a diverse South African society.
